Further information about the company is available on our website www.crispfittedfurniture.co.uk.
Crisp Fitted Furniture Ltd.
Crisp Fitted Furniture Ltd. agree to perform the work in a competent manner in compliance to the specification and quotations contained in our CAD drawings and final quotation.
Acceptance of the contract and programming of the work:
Acceptance of the contract and programming of the work: when you accept the quotation we will start the work planning process which may include purchasing of materials, planning in the manufacturing time and agreeing to an installation date. We will advise you of the estimated completion date for your work.
All customers are entitled to a 14-day cooling off period following acceptance of the quotation and after this period, in the event of a cancellation at short notice, we may charge a percentage of the quotation to cover our costs.
Standard of work:
All work shall be completed in line the agreed and approved dimensions, material specifications, finish specifications and technical CAD drawings, unless agreed otherwise with the customer. If not agreed or feasible for us to produce and install fitted furniture to the original plans, a representative from Crisp Fitted Furniture will liaise with the customer to agree and approve on an alternative product and installation solution. If this is required, all dimensions, material specifications, finish specifications and technical CAD drawings will be resupplied and will need to be approved by you, the customer before works proceed.
Do you take everything away?
All materials, tools, packaging, wastage and other items such as dust will be fully removed by our installation teams once we have fitted your furniture in your property. We will never leave a mess or items behind in your property and we will take the upmost care whilst working to install your fitted furniture. If you are unhappy with how we have left your property for whatever reason, please contact us on mick@crispfittedfurniture.co.uk to let us know and we will send one of our team to come and resolve the issue for you.
Do I need to protect my walls and floors?
We provide dust covers for all jobs when we are installing. If there are any problems after we have completed an installation, please let us know and we will sort.
Accidental damage - public liability £5,000,000
Whilst our staff will operate with care and diligence in your property, often our work entails the carrying of large amount of finished furniture materials into your property. Please make sure that vulnerable surfaces (such as white walls) are adequately protected (builders polythene is a good method) and that fragile objects are moved (such as existing furniture, ornaments and pots etc.). Our staff will be more than happy to move heavier objects for elderly or disabled clients, please let us know if you need assistance. When we are working installing fitted furniture, where appropriate we will use our own polythene covers to protect your existing furniture if in close proximity. In the very unlikely event that we do cause damage to an existing wall and this is an accident/fault of one of our installation team, we will look to rectify this for you.
When do I pay?
For all fitted furniture projects, on acceptance of the contract and programming of the work: when you accept the quotation, we will require a £200.00 deposit to secure the project for you. This will allow us to plan in your project and agree estimated installation and completion dates with you. Once we have your project planned in, we will then ask for 50% of the total project 4 weeks in advance of the first installation day. The final 50% of the project will be required to be paid on the final day of completion, once you have signed over the furniture in your property.
On completion of the fitted furniture installation, the Installation Crew Leader will take photographs of the installation and ask you to sign to confirm your satisfaction. Please only sign this when you are satisfied that all items are installed and completed. Please raise any queries with the Crew Leader before signing that you are satisfied with the project. The office will invoice ‘signed off’ jobs within 1 working day.
All contracts and instructions are accepted on the basis of payment of 50% of the full invoice price on receipt of invoice. Unless other terms have been agreed in writing. Amendments to the contract must be made in writing. Any complaints, which may arise from work performed under any contract, arising from acceptance of the estimate must be made within the period of 7 days from the date of invoice, unless agreed in writing to the contrary. All invoices are due for payment by return. Any invoice outstanding beyond this period will be referred to our accounts team and will be subject to a surcharge of 15% plus VAT plus any administration fees involved in the collection of the invoice. This surcharge together with all other charges and legal fees incurred will be the responsibility of the Customer and will be legally enforceable.
What time will the team arrive?
Most jobs are completed efficiently and on time. However, occasionally a job will over-run and if this is the case, no further charges will be passed onto you, the customer. If we foresee a delay in the agreed installation dates, we will inform you at our earliest convenience, however we will not rearrange or cancel a job within 5 working days of the agreed installation date. The earliest time the team will arrive is 8.30/9.00am. However, in the case of smaller contracts, we are not able to estimate an arrival time until late afternoon of the previous day and can only then advise either am or pm arrival. We will of course make every effort to please clients who particularly require a morning or afternoon visit.
Do I need permission?
If you are not the owner of the property, then you will need to get prior written agreement from the owner. This is your responsibility and not the responsibility of Crisp Fitted Furniture Ltd.
